What is BlameCast?

BlameCast is an education, culture, news and commentary site that some believe is slightly off-center. OK, we’ll admit we have more conservative and libertarian leanings.

Not so Secret Origins

In January of 2008, when Barack Obama’s administration began to fail, administration officials and their handlers in the media began blaming George W. Bush for everything Obama and his team screwed up. So much blame casting hit the news that I began blaming George W. Bush for everything from all of my childhood traumas to the horrible taste of Vietnam Era C-Rations.

We launched BlameCast as a way of poking fun at this blame shifting phenomenon in modern politics (to be honest, this goes back to the founding, but that’s part of The Civics Project). We hope you enjoy the commentary, educational resources and the occasional snarky observations (check out TonSil’s notes from his Not the Bee posts at the TonSil link above.
